Magic Loop
The Magic Loop is used when creating a piece of work that will be worked in the round, such a granny square or circle, or even a triangle.
This first video shows you how to do a magic loop and start your crochet of single crochets (sc)
This second video also shows you how, but explains why you use the magic loop, vs just chaining up and joining the last chain to the first chain with a single crochet, to create a circle. A chain circle may form a hole in the middle, but the magic loop, when pulled, will close and the hole will disappear.
